Darrell Evans is a researcher at purdue-university working on UAP and aerospace correlation analysis. In a March 2026 The Conversation essay (see src-academic-uap-stigma-2026-04), he argued that despite federal UAP investigation, U.S. universities lack dedicated UAP research centers, federal grant pipelines, and doctoral-training programs — and that the deterrent is sociological “boundary work” rather than intellectual disagreement. He is developing a temporal aerospace correlation tool linking civilian UAP sightings to Cape Canaveral rocket launches; the underlying paper is under peer review at Limina: The Journal of UAP Studies (limina-journal).
