Secure Our Skies Drone Safety Act of 2025
Proposed bipartisan bill introduced by Rep. gabe-vasquez (D-NM). Would task the GAO with auditing federal/state/local/tribal use of UAS and C-UAS, examining foreign-vs-domestic drone procurement, quantifying drones bought from “adversarial entities,” and recommending legal/policy changes.
Currently pending in the house-transportation-infrastructure-committee. Vasquez plans to attach it to the bipartisan Surface Reauthorization Bill as must-pass legislation.
