TOI-1130

TOI-1130 is the host star of a rare multi-planet system containing the inner warm mini-Neptune toi-1130b and an outer hot Jupiter, locked together in a 2:1 mean motion resonance. The system was a TESS Object of Interest target later followed up by CHEOPS and jwst (NIRSpec G395H + NIRISS SOSS).

The architecture is dynamically informative: the resonance and the outer giant’s likely “pebble-filtering” of inner-disk solids together favor an ex-situ origin for toi-1130b beyond the water-ice-line, followed by planetary-migration into the present configuration (src-jwst-toi-1130b-atmosphere-2026-05).
