Eric Schmitt is a Republican U.S. Senator from Missouri. His district includes whiteman-afb, home of the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber fleet used in operation-epic-fury.
At a March 2026 Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Schmitt questioned Gen. gregory-guillot on homeland drone defenses. Guillot’s response disclosed that detections over U.S. military installations are up year-over-year and that NORTHCOM’s defeat rate has risen from near zero to ~25% — figures subsequently reported by the-war-zone (src-drone-incursions-epic-fury-2026-03).
