Joel Hurowitz is a professor of geosciences at Stony Brook University and a member of the Perseverance science team. He led the 2025 Nature paper on potential biosignature minerals in the Cheyava Falls rock at jezero-crater (see src-mars-perseverance-biosignature-2025) and refined the interpretation of henry-manelski’s 2026 neretva-vallis nickel discovery (see src-perseverance-neretva-nickel-rocks-2026-04).
