NOAA co-operates suomi-npp (with nasa), NOAA-20, and NOAA-21 — polar-orbiting platforms hosting the Night Band sensor used for the global nighttime-lights record (relevant here as the calibration data behind terrestrial-technosignature analyses; see src-terrestrial-technosignatures-satellites-2026-04).
