Theological UAP framing describes the religious and theological vocabulary increasingly applied to UAP and non-human-intelligence claims by public figures and religious institutions during the 2025–2026 disclosure cycle. As uap-disclosure has moved into mainstream U.S. politics, multiple parallel framings have emerged:
- Demonic / fallen-angel / Nephilim: perry-stone’s 2026 framing of the alleged phenomenon as Genesis-6-style spiritual manifestation (see src-perry-stone-pastor-briefing-2026-05). Rep. lauren-boebert echoes the “more spiritual… demonic” frame in May 2026 (src-newsweek-luna-teases-disclosure-2026-05).
- “Spiritual demons”: jd-vance’s framing in 2026 commentary (see src-trump-pentagon-uap-files-2026-05).
- Interdimensional beings / Book of Enoch: anna-paulina-luna’s on-podcast framing referencing the Book of Enoch’s Watchers; Luna explicitly directed followers to read the Book of Enoch on the morning of the May 8 pursue launch (src-newsweek-luna-teases-disclosure-2026-05).
- Rapture-cover narrative: speculation (Stone via his son Jonathan) that government may frame an “alien invasion” to explain a future rapture.
- Catholic-Magisterium engagement: filmmaker sam-sorich’s 2026 Catholic documentary positioning the Catholic intellectual tradition as a serious counterpart to disclosure (see src-catholic-filmmaker-vatican-ufo-2026-04).
- Institutional avoidance: the vatican-observatory’s explicit policy of declining UFO-topic media engagement (per guy-consolmagno) — itself a theological-stigma stance.
These framings sit alongside, and often at odds with, scientific framings of UAP (cf. uap-scientific-study, non-human-intelligence).
