ESPRESSO (Echelle SPectrograph for Rocky Exoplanet and Stable Spectroscopic Observations) is a high-precision radial-velocity spectrograph on the very-large-telescope at ESO’s Paranal Observatory. ESPRESSO is designed for cm/s-level precision to detect Earth-mass planets around nearby stars. It can combine light from all four VLT 8 m units.

ESPRESSO contributed 12 measurements toward the 2026 confirmation of gj-887-d (src-gj-887-d-habitability-2026-03).
