Minot Air Force Base is a USAF installation in North Dakota that hosts nuclear-capable B-52 bombers and Minuteman III ICBMs under U.S. Strategic Command. Minot’s nuclear mission makes it one of the most nationally sensitive domestic military sites.
In October 2025, NORTHCOM certified its Flyaway Kit (FAK) counter-drone package, operators, and processes at Minot during STRATCOM’s Global Thunder exercise (src-northcom-drone-incursion-2026-03).
