Malmstrom Air Force Base is a U.S. Air Force installation in Great Falls, Montana, home to the 341st Missile Wing, which operates approximately 150 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles — one of the primary land-based legs of the U.S. nuclear-triad.
UAP and Intelligence Incidents
- 1967: robert-salas claims a UAP incident at Malmstrom temporarily disabled multiple nuclear-armed Minuteman ICBMs under his watch — one of the foundational cases in the nuclear-uap-correlation pattern.
- 2023: The Chinese spy balloon loitered 24–48 hours over the 341st Missile Wing’s ICBM silos, maneuvered via Iridium satellite, and reportedly exfiltrated data through U.S. ISPs. A 75-page exploitation report exists but has not been publicly released. (see src-spy-drones-nuclear-triad-2026-04)
- 2024–2026: Multiple unidentified drone swarm incidents reported over Malmstrom’s missile silos and launch control centers; launch points undiscovered, no operators apprehended.
According to stephen-bryen’s analysis (see src-spy-drones-nuclear-triad-2026-04), Malmstrom is part of a documented Chinese intelligence campaign targeting all three legs of the nuclear triad.
