The Age of Disclosure
2025 documentary feature directed by Dan Farah; premiered at SXSW on March 9, 2025. Built around 34 senior U.S. government, military, and intelligence officials who claim direct knowledge of UAPs and assert an active reverse-engineering arms race against China and Russia.
Thesis
- An 80-year cover-up of non-human intelligent life and recovered craft.
- A U.S. effort to reverse-engineer alleged crash-retrieved technology.
- Strategic urgency: lose the race against China/Russia and lose the future.
Notable on-camera participants
- Sen. marco-rubio (R-FL)
- Former DNI jim-clapper
- Sen. mike-rounds (R-SD)
- chris-mellon — “This is the biggest discovery in human history.”
- jay-stratton, former director of the U.S. Government’s UAP Task Force — “I have seen with my own eyes non-human craft and non-human beings.”
- tim-gallaudet (retired RAdm)
Visual evidence
The film leans on the 2021-declassified Navy footage (the same blurry water-surface objects already in public circulation) plus on-camera testimony. Critics — notably disclosure-skeptic reviewers — have flagged the absence of new clear photographic evidence as a logical problem in a camera-saturated era.
Reception
- Variety’s Owen Gleiberman gave a skeptical review at SXSW (March 9, 2025), framing each era’s ET narrative as culturally tailored: 1938 War of the Worlds, 1980s abduction lore, 1990s X-Files, 2020s national-security disclosure (src-age-of-disclosure-review-2025-03).
- The film has become a touchstone for the disclosure-vs-skeptic divide, fueling the April 2026 sean-kirkpatrick / tim-gallaudet public clash (src-gallaudet-kirkpatrick-clash-2026-04).
Catholic / theological response
Per src-catholic-filmmaker-vatican-ufo-2026-04 (OSV News, late 2025): Catholic filmmaker sam-sorich’s production company glass-darkly-films is shooting a late-2026 documentary as a direct response to the film’s claim — sourced to a former CIA official — that the vatican holds evidence of non-human-intelligence. The Sorich film features podcaster jesse-michels and former military chaplain matthew-gray, and frames its task as the living Catholic Magisterium engaging contemporary culture. The vatican-observatory declined Sorich’s interviews.
